In food, vitamin C comes packaged with the other natural compounds found in fruit, including a family of plant compounds called polyphenols. Berry C Complex reflects this by combining vitamin C with extracts of three fruits: pomegranate, plum and blueberry.

Mineral Ascorbates: A Different Form of Vitamin C

Many vitamin C supplements use ascorbic acid. Berry C Complex uses mineral ascorbates instead: vitamin C bound to a mineral, in this case potassium and magnesium. Mineral ascorbates are sometimes called “buffered” vitamin C, because they are less acidic than ascorbic acid.

Two capsules provide 500 mg of potassium ascorbate and 500 mg of magnesium ascorbate, together providing 790 mg of vitamin C.

Berry C Complex provides only a small amount of magnesium, so it can be taken alongside our Magnesium Plus.

The Fruit Extracts
