Magnesium Plus (90 Tablets)
“Your magnesium tablets changed everything for me in terms of body pain” NH
"Honestly it helps me so so much so that when I don't take it I can feel it within a few days." DD
A customer favourite (one of our best-sellers).
Each Magnesium Plus tablet provides a rich source of magnesium in the forms of magnesium malate, magnesium citrate, and magnesium ascorbate (a form of vitamin C), along with vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12. These forms of magnesium have been chosen for their superior absorption and gentle action in the gut.
This is one of Emma's favourite supplements and one she frequently uses in her clinic. She also wrote an article about magnesium, which can be found on the website here.
How Much and What Type of Magnesium Is In Magnesium Plus?
The total elemental magnesium is listed on the Magnesium Plus container and in the table below as ‘magnesium’.
When you’re comparing magnesium supplements, the key number to look for is elemental magnesium (often shown simply as “magnesium” on the label). This is the amount of actual magnesium you get per tablet or capsule.
Some products highlight large numbers linked to the compound (for example magnesium citrate, glycinate, malate, etc.). Those figures can look impressive, but they don’t tell you how much elemental magnesium you’re getting unless the elemental amount is also stated.
Our Magnesium Plus supplement provides 126 mg of elemental magnesium per tablet.
We suggest a daily serving of 2 tablets per day, providing a total of 252 mg elemental magnesium daily.
By law, UK supplements are required to list this total (elemental) magnesium so it is fully transparent to the customer how much magnesium is in that supplement (even so many brands don't).
The form of magnesium (the “carrier” it’s attached to) can also matter for tolerability and absorption. For example, some people find magnesium oxide more likely to upset their stomach.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our magnesium, which is organically bound to citrate, malate, and ascorbate, rather than using lesser-tolerated inorganic magnesium salts.
Tablet Size:
Please note that the tablet is larger in size to accommodate a therapeutic dose of magnesium. However, it is scored for easy splitting, making it simpler to swallow.
